Christmas story-King Herods' Diary

Dear Diary,

Today three men came to me asking to see the new ruler and i thought what new ruler? Then i thought a new ruler must have been born somewhere else, so i told them to find him and bring him to me.Little do they know i'm going to kill him!

When they didn't bring him to me i told my men to kill every new born in Bethlehem so he can't take the throne off me ha ha!! Ihope we get him.

Christmas story- Inn keeper

Dear Diary,

Today has been hectic, I've had people knocking on my door and i was so angry. Then i had this couple come and knock on my door, i said i have no more rooms but they were desperate so i said they could stay in my stable.

Then a couple of hours later i heard about a little boy called Jesus being born and i was so happy because he had been born in my stable.

The Christmas Story - A Shepherd's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today I have had an extreamly exciting day! I traveled to a stable in Bethlehem with all of my sheep - it was very tiring! I saw a baby boy being born, he was named Jesus. Mary was chosen to give birth to Jesus, she was told by an angel. That would have been exciting talking to an angel!

Christmas Lunch with Komodo Dragon Base

Bollywood to Hollywood and all that jazz!

Our topic has moved from India to Bollywood and then across seas to Hollywood. Komodo Dragon Base have been exploring what early Hollywood would of been like, why Hollywoodland was chosen to build the studios and what benefits and drawback the site had.

We also investigated the history of films and discovered that films really started with puppet shows. This prompted an investigation into discovering if you could change the colour of a shaodw by using different materials.

Komodo Dragon Base were fab and were able to use and apply terms such as: opaque, translucent and transparent.

Of course, that's not all - we also investigated how else we could change a shadow. We had groups investigate the size of the object, the distance from the light source, the size of light source and even the strength of the light source.

Great stuff!

The Life Education Van Visits Komodo Dragon Base

The Life Education Van visited our class to talk about Decisions.

We talked about making decisions about taking drugs and alcohol and how these could affect our body. We learnt lots including skills about how to say no is an assertive way.

The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is a famous Indian landmark both for tourists and people who live there. It was built in 1653 because Emporer Shah Jahan's wife died while giving birth to his fourteenth child. His wife at the time was his third wife!Construction started in 1632 and the main building was finshed in 1648 but the actully whole building was finished in 1653.

This is how thge Emporer discribed it.

''Should guilty seek asylum here,
like one pardoned, he becomes free from sin.
should a sinner make his way to this mansion,
All his past sinsare to be washed away.
The sight of this mansion create sorrowing sighs;
And the sun and the moon shed tears from their eyes.
in this world edifice has been made;
to display thereby the creaters glory.''
