Welcome to our blog!

Komodo Dragon Base pulled South Africa out of our World Cup draw - which means we have taken on South Africa as our learning journey this half term.

Not only will we be focusing on the World cup and tracking South Africa's progress, but we will also be learning through International Arts week, Nelson Mandela and why people in different countries were and are treated differently.

Keep you eyes peeled on our blog as lots of exciting things will be happening!

South African traditional Zulu tribe clay!!!!!!

On Tuesday afternoon, we made some really funky clay models based on the South African Zulu tribe.  First, we had a go at making coils and then we began making a slab for the base of our models.  It took me ages to make mine. In the end, my shield was too big for the base so I had to make a prop as there was only 7 minutes left!!!!!!!!!!  Some people made jewelry but most people made shields!!!  Later on in the afternoon, we painted our models.  I painted mine brown then added some yellow to make a bronze colour!!!
