Childhood:

Frances Ethel Gumm was born in 1922 on the 10th of June .

Growing up:

When she was older her Dad died and it was very emotional because they were very close. Also when she was older she didn't like her name, so she changed it from Frances Ethel Gumm to Judy Garland ,and thats what people call her now.

When she was 13, in 1935 she auditioned for MGM, and a couple of months later she got the part of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz.
