Komodo Dragon Base pulled South Africa out of our World Cup draw - which means we have taken on South Africa as our learning journey this half term.

Not only will we be focusing on the World cup and tracking South Africa's progress, but we will also be learning through International Arts week, Nelson Mandela and why people in different countries were and are treated differently.

The Life And death Of Judy Garland

Judy garland was a young actress who was best known fo her outstanding peromance in the film the Wizard Of Oz in 1939. Please read on to increase your knowledge of Judy Garland and her life. 

Early Life:
Judy Garland was born on the tenth of June 1922 under the the name of Frances Ethel Gumm. A few years later she changed her name to Judy Garland. Her parents gave her the nickname Baby Gumm. In 1926 she and her family moved to lancaster in Calofornia surprisingly there she did the film that made her famous.

Later Life:
Thirteen years later after she moved she was given a chance do the film The Wizard Of Oz at a young age. During her life to 1969 she had married eight husbands. In the same year on June the twenty second she died from a accidental overdose of drugs in her bathroom. In 1997 she won a grammy award even though she was dead.

Conclusion:
This was a biography of Judy Garland and her amazing life.
